Just Do It
My beautiful people!! I hope you are having the best day! 💛💜
I have some exciting news!
Guess who is going to be part of this year’s A Fair of the Arts?!?! WOO HOO! That’s right, little ole me!Â
This was my first application for a craft show and I got booked for 3 shows this season!!
I may or may not have cried.
Okay, I cried.
What a great feeling to see that letter of acceptance. Wow, just wow. I believe in my work and what I promote, and it’s such a blessing to see that love reflected back to me.
I am beyond excited to meet the other artists and support them on their journeys. This is the season of love, my friends!
The first show will be May 9! Come by and visit if you feel drawn to. It will be in Bloomington at Fernandez Plaza (in front of City Hall).
I was waiting to hear back for a few weeks and the deadline was quickly approaching for when they told us their decision. The day before I got the notice, the day before the deadline, I thought “I’m not sure if I got it since they said I would know by tomorrow. 🫤 Either way, I took the leap to submit an application and I’m proud of myself for taking that first step. ✨ If they reject me, it’s not for me.” Then I stopped thinking about it. I had the moment to ponder and then I released it.
The next morning I received the congratulations email.Â
I’ve learned that when I overthink, the less I attract. When I let the anxious thoughts of negative future possibilities take hold, I lose sight of the beauty of the current moment. That beauty was in the waiting, in the excitement of waiting for that first “yes!” I am so grateful I grounded myself and allowed myself to sit in the excitement. I would have missed out on a wonderful moment in my life otherwise.
If you are debating posting that video, sending that application, starting that business, or whatever it may be, I say just do it! You can always move in a different direction if you decide you don’t like how it feels. If you don’t do it due to fear, you will never know what is possible.
I love you and I believe in you. Now take that leap and believe in yourself. I can’t wait to hear about your journey.
As always, be well and trust your gut.
xoxo, Grace
